At Astitav, our Vocational Program empowers students with essential life skills, creativity, and a sense of independence through hands-on learning. Students create handmade soaps, candles, jewellery, pottery, and sewing projects – each activity carefully adapted to suit individual abilities.
The program emphasises responsibility, teamwork, and a sense of accomplishment. Students see their creations come to life from planning and creating through to the final product, giving them a strong sense of ownership and pride. Pottery improves coordination and patience; sewing develops precision and focus; creating soaps, candles, and jewellery encourages artistic expression.
The program also introduces packaging, presentation, and selling – helping students understand real-world applications of their skills and preparing them for greater independence.
